His father is The Toyman, who he recently helped to recapture after he escaped from prison. He's in love with Kara, his best friend, and has confessed his feelings to her, but also has chosen not to let those feelings get in the way of being her friend and helping her when she needs him. Very loyal, up for the challenge, even when he's scared, and currently working on not being a coward about suppressing his feelings, both positive and negative.
